While preventing new coronavirus disease (COVID-19), especially cleaning with plenty of water, Water Saving should not be forgotten.

While it was stated that the occupancy rate in Istanbul dams was 30 percent less than the same period of the previous year, experts warned about water consumption due to coronavirus.

Let's be conscious while consuming water

An average of 2 liters of water loss occurs each time, especially from the tap left open while washing hands.

For example; we left the tap open at normal level and left it open while soaping our hand for 20 seconds. Meanwhile, we spend around 2 liters of water in 20-25 seconds. We need water at the first moment after taking the soap, but we don't need water during the foaming.

After closing our faucet while soaping our hands and soaping our hands thoroughly, we opened the tap and washed our hands again. Thus, we spent about 1/1 of the water we spent with the tap open, that is 300 ml of water.

When we spread this in general, considering that there are 15 million people in Istanbul, we can better understand the extent of this difference.

Let's not forget that; Water is our Life Source, and this is our basic need today and in the future.
